Purpose of stainless steel pressure gauge

Stainless steel pressure gauges are widely used in petroleum, chemical industry, chemical fiber, metallurgy, power station, food and other industrial departments to measure the pressure of various fluid media in the process flow with high requirements for corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance.

The stainless steel pressure gauge is composed of pressure guiding system (including joint, spring tube, current limiting screw, etc.), gear transmission mechanism, reading device (pointer and dial) and shell (including case, cover, glass, etc.).

For instruments filled with liquid (generally silicone oil or glycerol) in the shell, it can resist severe vibration in the working environment and reduce the pulsation of medium pressure.

Analysis of common faults of stainless steel pressure gauge

First, the pointer does not move or rarely moves, which may be due to the following reasons: 1 The calibrator valve is not opened 2 The pointer is loose and one end of the pointer touches the dial. 3. The central hole of the sealing washer of the calibrator joint is blocked, and the working medium cannot be introduced into the pressure gauge. 4. The medium in the calibrator oil cup is too dirty, blocking the spring tube or transmission channel. 5. The rubber cup at the top of the calibrator screw rod is damaged or the spring tube is broken, resulting in a large amount of oil leakage.

Second, the pointer goes back. The calibrator leaks oil or the needle valve of the oil cup is not smooth, resulting in poor sealing, or there may be cracks in the spring tube. These faults are common and easy to solve.

Third, the phenomenon of needle skipping. The teeth of the sector gear may be rusted, worn and contaminated. Or the pointer axis tilts, bends and rubs against one side of the dial.

Fourth, the pointer does not return to zero, return error and tap displacement out of tolerance. The hairspring is not tightened or stretched enough, or the pointer is loose.

Industrial pressure gauge installation precautions

1. Selection of pressure measuring points. The selected pressure measuring points can reflect the of the measured pressure.

(1) It should be selected at the pipe section where the measured medium flows in a straight line, not at the bend, bifurcation, dead corner or other places where vortex is easy to form.

(2) When measuring the pressure of flowing medium, make the pressure point perpendicular to the flow direction, and remove the drilling burr.

(3) When measuring the liquid pressure, the pressure point shall be at the lower part of the pipeline so that no gas is accumulated in the impulse pipe. When measuring the gas, the pressure point shall be above the pipeline so that no liquid is accumulated in the impulse pipe.
